Mrs Schultz, out district nurse, came in to talk about her job. She will be visiting bi-weekly to talk about various health topics that are relevant to the 4-5 year old student.
Wednesday, we stamped our coconut tree with letters and read the poem with our letters. They enjoyed this! We had gym class after circle time which helped them get some of their wiggles out and then cane back upstairs to go to centers.
The letter of the week was Tt. We learned the sign language for a letter, the literacy link sound symbols, the letter sound, and looking at and writing it in both capital letters and lower case letters. Click here to view the many ways we learn the letter of the week!
Each week we watch letter videos from "Have Fun Teaching" and the students are really picking up the names of letters, formations, and the sounds of letters. Check out these videos with you child! Click HERE.
The Tuesday project of letter of the week is to decorate a letter with something that starts with the letter. This week we decorated the letter T with torn tiny tiles from paper. On Thursday, our letter of the week project was to read a page from our alphabet book, T is for Turtle.
- PICTURE DAY is Thursday. Please feel free to send your kid in their picture day clothes and send along a change of clothes. After pictures are taken, we can help your child get changed into their "normal" clothes. Please be sure that you have your form returned for each child you have in our school even if you are not purchasing pictures. This allows us to have your permission to take your child's photo and put it in the yearbook.
- Dress for the weather. Please send your child dressed for the weather as we go outside as long as it is not raining or below 0*(students are more than welcome to bring layers daily or to leave in their lockers) It may also be time to change out the change of clothes to make sure they are weather appropriate. If you send a new change of clothes, we will send the warm weather clothes in their backpacks.
